HISTORY
Kistenmacher Engineering Company (KECO) was founded in 1955 in El Paso to provide multi-disciplined civil engineering services for residential, commercial, industrial, and governmental projects in the Texas, Southern New Mexico and Northern Mexico regions.  After completing numerous projects outside of El Paso, in 2004, the firm established an office in Dallas in order to better serve the needs of client located near Texas' major metropolitan areas.
As we enter out fifty-fourth year, KECO is currently one of the oldest active civil engineering firms in the State of Texas.  Due to thhis experience and continuity of service, the firm often can lend unparalleled expertise to projects in and around the state.  Current and past projects of the firm include water and wastewater facilities, land and subdivision planning, roadway design, structural design, construction supervision, and flood control projects.  The firm, as a support service, maintains complete in-house surveying capabilities for its projects.  This capability allows the firm to respond in a more timely fashion to projects requiring surveying support.
The estimated replacement value of the firm's projects, both past and present, exceeds one BILLION dollars.  These projects range from small residential ventures to some of the largest construction projects in West Texas, including schools, office complexes, commercial and industrial facilities, and large single-family and multi-family housing projects.  KECO has provided site planning and engineering for projects encompassing more than 18,000 acres of property in Texas and New Mexico.  More than 10,000 acres of this property was later developed with subdivision, grading, drainage, and roadway plans being prepared by KECO.  In addition, KECO has designed and provided construction services for more than 350 miles of streets and roadways.
